SoilFen is one of the three automatic soil stations in Kobbefjord. Data from the station is found under Meteorology (air temperature, relative humidity and PAR) and Soil Properties (soilwater chemistry, soil temperatures, soil heat flux). The station was established in 2007 and is placed in the moist fen 40 m.a.s.l. close to the InteractFen (Meteorology, Soil Properties, Snow Properties), the EddyFen and the Methane station (Fluxmonitoring). Sampling time is noted in UTC-3 West Greenlandic Winter Time (WGWT). Six soil water samplers (suction cup lysimeters, Prenart Super Quartz) are installed at 10 and 80 cms depth (three replicates at each depth) next to the automatic station "SoilFen". The soil water samples are collected manually during the summer field season (app. May-October) and analyses are done at the Department of Geosciences and Natural ressource Management (IGN) and at the Department of Biology, both University of Copenhagen, Denmark and in the laboratory at the field station in Kobbefjord.
