Snow pit temperature - manual measurement (Â°C)

Snow pit temperatures observed at the annual snow surveys taking place in the end of the snow season in late winter (app. April). The logging consists of snow temperature measurements in the snow profile for every 10 cm. Coordinates of the specific snow pits are given in latitude and longitude in the datafile. Description of the snow pit profiles' snow grain size, grain shape and hardness and snow densities are presented in Snow pit stratigraphy - manual measurement and Snow pit density - manual measurement (kg m-3), respectively. The snow survey in Kobbefjord has been carried out annually in late winter since 2008. Please contact the ClimateBasis Nuuk manager for detailed snow survey reports.
