Road weather station - Petajamaa (Vaisala)

An automatic weather station (AWS) measuring air temperature, dew point and air relative humidity at 4.5 meters and wind speed and wind direction at 6.3 meters. Visibility from 10 to 20 000 meters, present weather, rain class, precipitation intensity and sum is measured at 6 meters.

The AWS includes road surface temperature and ground temperature measurements at 0, -6 and -40cm. Surface temperature (0cm) and ground temperature at -6cm are measured in both lanes of the road.
