The microclimate station, M500, was established in 2007 and is located on bare rock 500 m.a.s.l at the mountain SE of the fen close to the automatic cameras K2 and K3 (Automatic Photomonitoring). The data is logged every five minutes (UTC-3 West Greenlandic Winter Time, 2007-2024:CR1000 logger, 2024-:CR1000X). Since 2025 data is delivered as 30 min averages of the timeseries, contact the program manager for the 5 min timeseries. Sensors include air temperature and relative humidity (2007-2018: Vaisala, HMP45, 2018-: Campbell, CS215) measured in radiation shield 2 m above ground, short wave incoming solar radiation (KippZonen, SP Lite) and radiometric measured surface temperature (Apogee, IRR-P). Data comments: In 2018 the HMP45 air temperature and relative humidity sensor was changed with a CS215 sensor causing a shift in the relative humidity data.
