InteractHeath (I6Nh) is one of two automatic energy balance stations in Kobbefjord that was setup in 2011. Data from the station is found under Meteorology (air temperature, relative humidity, radiation, wind), Soil Properties (soil moisture, soil temperatures, soil heat fluxes) and Snow Properties (snow temperatures, snow depht). It is placed at the dry heath (26 m.a.s.l.) north of Badesø, where the dominating vegetation consists of salix and empetrum, close to the Eddy Heath (Flux Monitoring) and SPA (Snow Properties) stations. The SnowProperties dataset from the station consists of snow depth (Campbell, SR50A) and snow temperatures (thermocouples, 107T). All data is logged every 30 minutes (UTC-3 West Greenlandic Winter Time, CR1000). Data comments: In 2012 the station was moved 20 m closer to the stream because the vegetation was damaged underneath the sensors. Snow depth: Snow free periods set to 0 since 2015. In winter 2020/2021 the snow depth sensor was malfunctioning and the data from this year has not been delivered to the database. Snow temperatures: when sensor is not covered with snow, the measured temperature is an expression of the air temperature instead. The snow temperature in 50 cm is currently not delivered to the database, but will be in the future. The station is part of a network of similar energy balance stations. In Kobbefjord a comparable station is placed in the fen (I5Nf). A snow survey in Kobbefjord is done every year in coorporation with ClimateBasis Nuuk. Data from the manually snow survey is found under ClimateBasis Nuuk - Snow Properties. Contact the ClimateBasis Nuuk manager for more details.
