Ground temperature in Kugluktuk, Nunavut, Canada

This dataset includes a compilation of ground temperature data for two different locations in Kugluk Regional Park, near the community of Kugluktuk (Nunavut, Canada). These monitoring stations were deployed as part of a project to assess permafrost conditions along an ATV trail that crosses the park and a gravel road that provides access to the park from the community. The temperature strings were installed in boreholes 4.0 m to 5.0 m deep. Data from site F4 was collected from July 29, 2019 to July 21, 2023, and data from site F5 was collected from July 31, 2019 to July 21, 2023. The study site is characterized by sandy and silty deltaic deposits. A detailed description of the project and study area is available in the following technical reports: Allard et al., 2020, Bilodeau et al., 2019, Coulombe et al., 2019.
