To document the properties of the snowpack six snowpits are made in Kobbefjord each year in late winter (app. April). The logging includes density measurements taken with a rip cutter and snow temperature measurements every 10 cm (Snow properties -DensityTemperature). Description of snow grain size, grain shape and hardness throughout the profile (Snow properties - Stratigraphy).
