Ascophyllum nodosum segment biomass

Nuuk basis monitoring of macroalgae and fauna - population dynamics of knotted wrack (Ascophyllum nodosum). Ascophyllum nodosum segment biomass. The dataset consist of annual sampling of 20 Ascophyllum nodosum tips (actively growing, light brown), randomly sampled in the population in each of the tidal zones (upper, mid, lower) for the purpose of measuring annual tip growth. The tips were cut below the 3rd bladder and then cut into seperate segments/tip-sections (Outer tip incl. 1st bladder = year 0, below 1st bladder incl. 2nd bladder = year 1, below 2nd bladder incl. 3rd bladder = year 2). Each segment was dried at 60 degrees Celcius and weighed. From 2015, additional sampling of tips in the mid tidal zone from populations in two other sites in Kobbefjord were also included.
